No.3 Velintonia Street, Madrid holds within its cracked walls the echoes of Lorca at the piano, Pablo Neruda's impassioned voice, Carmen Conde’s thirst for freedom, and Miguel Hernández’s rugged embraces. Following four decades of neglect, the home of Nobel Prize winner Vicente Aleixandre reopens its doors to welcome the poets—now in their eighties—who frequented No.3 in its final days of grandeur. This evocative documentary embarks on a journey from oblivion to shared memory, from the stirrings of Spain’s Generation of '27 to the Novísimos poets of the late 1960s. Along the way, writers and friends of the author including Vicente Molina Foix, Guillermo Carnero, Antonio Colinas, and Jaime Siles are joined by actors Antonio de la Torre, Ana Fernández, Mona Martínez, and Manolo Solo, together with a host of sound artists, musicians, and young poets. Velintonia, utopian and chimerical, is reborn in this poignant revival.
