POR DONDE PASA EL SILENCIO
Leaving home is usually traumatic, but returning can be just as complicated. After living away for a long time, 32-year-old Antonio returns to Écija in the middle of Holy Week. There, he is reunited with his roots (heightened by the Easter festivities), his friends, his family and his twin brother, Javier, who has a physical disability and needs his help. This visit will present Antonio with the dilemma we all face at some point in our lives: whether to return to the place we left because a loved one needs us or to remain in the place we have built that brings us happiness. The New Directors Section at San Sebastian premiered this debut film by Sandra Romero, based on her short film of the same name, which won the Silver Biznaga for best director at the Málaga Film Festival.
