DE CABALLOS Y GUITARRAS
“A feminist film about horses. It is in the spirit of the times”. This is one of the remarks with which the unclassifiable artist, curator and (formal) researcher Pedro G. Romero, recent winner of the National Award for Plastic Arts, defines his – equally unclassifiable – film. If that premise was not enough to make you want to rush to see it, perhaps its origin would: a film, made in collaboration with Isaki Lakuesta, about a guitar concert for horses in the exquisite Tempietto de Bramante in Rome. Pepe Habichuela, Alfredo Lagos, Refree, María Marín, Riccardo Ascani, Ciro Biasutto and Bruno Alviani perform together in this incredible place. Pedro G. Romero creates a captivating (musical) documentary that explores the attempt to escape the anthropocentric gaze and delves into the very act of looking in cinema.
