Gilbert es el cartero del archipiélago y se dedica a repartir puntualmente los paquetes que cada mañana le llegan desde el cielo. Una mañana, durante el reparto, Gilbert siente una atracción especial por uno de los paquetes que debe entregar. Este es un paquete con destino a su vecino Sullivan. Inexplicablemente, esa mañana, Gilbert elude su deber y decide no entregar la caja a su destinatario. Esa decisión cambiará el rumbo de su amistad para siempre.
Gilbert and Sullivan are two inhabitants of a small archipelago in the middle of the ocean where its residents live in floating houses with a small dock each. Sullivan is a musician and plays the fiscorn. He studies and rehearses tirelessly on the dock of his house. Gilbert is the postman of the archipelago and is dedicated to punctually delivering the packages that arrive from the sky every morning. One morning, during the delivery, Gilbert feels a special attraction for one of the packages he must deliver. This is a package destined for his neighbor Sullivan. Inexplicably, that morning, Gilbert shirks his duty and decides not to deliver the box to its recipient. That decision will change the course of their friendship forever.
