In this post-herd era in which the debate about consent is barely starting to appear, Eva Trobisch makes a powerful debut with a potentially controversial piece (Best First Film award in Locarno) which examines that barrier as regards both sex and affections, also touching on the professional world Janne, starting to make her way in publishing, firmly believes that if she doesn’t classify things as problems, then they are not. Even if that potential problem is a rape. Her strategy is to refuse to take on the role of victim.

Eva Trobisch

She was born in Berlin in 1983. She worked as assistant director in theatre and later in cinema. In 2009 she started studying film direction in Munich and later at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She also did a Master’s in screenwriting at the London Film School in 2015. All Good is her graduation film; with it she won the Best First Film Award in Locarno, and two awards at the Munich Festival.
