My little sister

Switzerland's entry to the Oscar race, the film presented at the Berlinale moves every single nerve in those who watch it. She, a dramaturg in a writer's block, living in Switzerland. He, a successful actor in Berlin. The two twins (the brilliant Nina Hoss and Lars Eidinger) get together because of his fulminating cancer, from which only a donation from her can save him. A reunion at a difficult crossroads, where not only life and death are at stake, but also the creative impulse like a vital source: He being unstoppable even before the abyss, and she being in a disturbingly long-lasting state of coma.

Stéphanie Chuat, Véronique Reymond

Stéphanie Chuat and Véronique Reymond have known each other since childhood. They have an extensive career as theatre actresses, working in numerous Swiss and French productions. They have also created many plays as a stage duo, making their first foray into filmmaking by making videos for their productions. They wrote and directed four award-winning short films. Their first fiction feature film is The Little Bedroom (2010), which represented their country at the Oscars, winning multiple awards at international festivals. They have also explored the documentary genre in their films Evening Class for Adults (2005), Buffo, Buten & Howard (2009) and Ladies (2018, premiered in Visions du Réel), and the television series in Open Book (2014) as well as Toxic, which is currently in development. Their latest film, My Little Sister, premiered at the Berlinale.
