The spirit of this edition of the Seville European Film Festival is also to grow against adversity, a struggle that is represented by this other picture of the day in which the president of the Film Academy, Mariano Barroso, and the director of the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts, Beatriz Navas, appear. They embody the collaboration agreement reached this year so that the Academy's headquarters in Madrid will host, in these first days of the event, several screenings of the Spanish films present at the Official Section (The year of the discovery, Karen and La vida era eso). Consequently, celebrating their premiere simultaneously at the Cinesur Nervión Plaza and with the presence of their crew and cast. The Film Academy will also screen Los inocentes by Guillermo Benet as a world premiere in the Endless Revolutions section, and will promote other national production titles (Billy, Dear Werner and The Art of Return) whose teams were not able to attend due to mobility restrictions in the context of the pandemic. Joint efforts to ensure that Spanish cinema continues to shine, with an audience, at the Seville European Film Festival.
