Based on the screening of '7 Ways to Say Goodbye', the short film that won the Carmen Award from the Andalusian Film Academy, Jorge Naranjo will take us through the technical and creative processes that made it possible to carry out a project that, as its director explains, he would never recommend anyone else do in the same way.
Jorge Naranjo is a director, screenwriter, and producer. His first feature film, Casting (2013), won two Biznagas de Plata awards in the Official Selection at the 16th Malaga Spanish Film Festival. 'Las Niñas de Cristal' (Jota Linares, 2022) was his first commission as a screenwriter for Netflix. In 2021, he founded Nana Films, a production company with which he won the Carmen Award for Best Fiction Short Film in 2025 for his work “7 formas de decir adiós” (Seven Ways to Say Goodbye) (2023), and with which he began to develop his own projects and those of emerging filmmakers such as Ángel Villahermosa ('Mi primera comunión' [My First Communion], Kill-Jote) and Jesús Pascual ('Dolores, guapa!'). He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the field of directing.
