The Seville European Film Festival, in collaboration with the Andalusian Agency for Cultural Institutions (AAIICC), is launching the GUASA program—Comedy Screenwriting Workshop—with the aim of discovering and promoting emerging Andalusian screenwriters and stand-up comedians in the comedy genre, one of the most popular genres among audiences in Spain.
The program, which will take place at the University of Seville's Center for Cultural Initiatives, combines theoretical and practical sessions led by screenwriter Fernando Hernández Barral (co-writer of the film ‘Matusalén’, directed and co-written by David Galán Galindo, starring Antonio Resines and Julián López) and tutored by the team behind the series ‘Sin gluten’. Each participant will develop a commissioned gag based on common comedy premises, which will be presented in a final session as part of the Festival.
The call for entries will remain open from September 18 to Monday, October 6. You can consult the RULES and access the registration form at this link.
