THE WORLD WAS ALREADY A STRANGE PLACE
These days, there is much talk about how dystopian reality seems to be in 2020. Undeniably, we must admit that the world was already a strange place. If we cast a distant glance at the rhythms, customs, institutions, forms and ideas that rule us, the oddity does not take long to appear. This is the basis for this series by animation artists, whose incisive vision generates monsters and draws disconcerting scenarios. Imaginary worlds that, however unreal they may appear, are faithfully based on this crazy maremagnum we live in. Empty streets and supermarkets, pictures that seem to laugh at us, people behaving in extravagant ways, oddity generated by a world that mutates before our eyes, in a series of works of unique plasticity ranging from 2D animation to stop-motion painting, visual experiments, clay figures and puppets.
