ONE-WAY CYCLE
Told in first-person, María recounts the story of her mother, Adela, as she embarks on a journey from Asturias to Havana in 1929 in search of her sister, with whom she shared a deep connection. The two girls grew up washing clothes together in the meadow, covered in snow, causing her intense pain as she began her menstrual cycle. A moving tale of migration, and menstruation.
