Hernán Zin
War reporter, writer and documentary maker, Hernán Zin has worked in more than fifty countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. As a reporter, he has collaborated with media such as TVE, Canal +, Rolling Stone, El País, El Mundo, ABC, La Nación, Clarín, Internatzionale, Cadena Ser, Cadena Cope and RNE, among others. He has directed films such as Morir para contar (2018), Nacido en Siria (2017), Nacido en Gaza (2014), La guerra contra las mujeres (2013) and Villas Miseria (2009). For these he has received the Platinum Award, two Forqué Awards, the Jury Award at the Al Jazeera Festival, two nominations for the Goyas, the Latino Grammys and the Rory Peck Award, which is presented to the best war cameramen in the world. Among his most notable books are Querida guerra mía (2018), Llueve sobre Gaza (2006), La libertad del compromiso (2005) and Voluntario en Calcuta (2002).
