David Oelhoffen
He was born in France in 1968. After directing several short films, which won awards at festivals like Clermont-Ferrand, his first feature, in Your Wake, was shown at Critics’ Week in Cannes. In 2014, he released Far From Men, based on the story by Albert Camus “The Guest” and featuring Viggo Mortensen and Reda Kateb. The film won three awards at Venice: the SIGNIS Awadr, the Arca CinemaGiovani Award and the Interfilm Award, and it had a commercial release around the world (including Spain). He was also the writer of films such as In the Forests of Siberia (2016), by Safy Nebbou, and Du soleil dans mes yeux (2018), by Nicolas Giraud. Close Enemies, his latest film, premiered in the Official Section at Venice.
