Jesús Armesto Martín
Born in Écija (1978), he graduated in Film Direction and trained as an editor in Barcelona. He won the 2005 award at the Centro de Estudios Cinematográficos de Cataluña, thanks to which he wrote and directed his first feature, Cuento de las dos orillas (2007). He has directed four features with which he has participated in festivals such as Cinespaña Toulouse, L’Alternativa de Barcelona, the Seville Festival, Annecy, Padova, Marbella, and the Amman Festival of Free Cinema (Best Feature Film Award). He has also directed, produced and written numerous commercials. He has taught at the University of Barcelona, he has given seminars for the Anthropology degree at the University of Seville, he has given talks at various events and has held numerous workshops for young people in centres belonging to the Regional Government of Andalusia.
