Renowned film director Benito Zambrano will lead a masterclass focused on his perspective of the filmmaking profession, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of his iconic film Solas. This masterclass marks the opening of the screenings in the section 'Esenciales' of the Seville European Film Festival. While primarily aimed at film directing students, the session is open to all those interested in the art of cinema.

Zambrano will break down the various phases of a film shoot, examining both the creative and logistical processes that contribute to filmmaking. Through an analysis of his filmography, he will share personal anecdotes and insights, aiming to help participants avoid "the mistakes I made and that you should not make in your first film." This masterclass promises to equip attendees with valuable tools and knowledge for a deeper understanding of the craft of film directing.

Additionally, the Andalusian Film Academy is hosting the ‘Script and Directing Encounters’ series throughout 2024 and 2025 in collaboration with DAMA.
