Join us for a talk with José Luis Tirado, an artist and independent filmmaker born in Seville in 1954. Tirado has produced numerous documentaries and video creations that explore critical themes such as social rights, migration, precariousness, environmental issues, and historical memory. His notable works include Paralelo 36 (2004), La Liga de los Olvidados (2007), Donde Hay Patrón... (2007), Paisaje del Retroprogreso (2010), Fuentes de la Memoria (2011), and El Caso Rocío (2013).
In addition to his documentaries, Tirado has directed several short films, including Global Zoo (2002), Margaritas (2003), Rehenes (2003), Teoría de las Naciones (2004), Ali Salem, Arquitecto de la Resistencia (2009), El Festín Durante la Peste (2014), and Febrâ (2014). This event promises to provide valuable insights into his artistic vision and the societal issues he addresses through his work.
