This talk features Esteban Crespo, a prominent Spanish director and screenwriter, known for his contributions to cinema with works that have resonated at international festivals. His short film Aquel no era yo was nominated for an Oscar and won a Goya in 2013, accumulating over ninety awards in various categories.
Crespo will also discuss his experience in making his feature film Black Beach, a suspense thriller that received six nominations at the Goya Awards. During the talk, he will share his narrative approach, the challenges of the creative process, and the lessons learned while directing this intense work. Attendees will have the opportunity to delve into technical aspects such as building suspense, character development, and the use of visual techniques in contemporary cinema.
