SOLAS
María (Ana Fernández) barely survives in a dark apartment in a poor neighborhood, working sporadically as a cleaning lady. At almost forty, she discovers she is pregnant by a man who doesn't love her. Her loneliness is so profound that she finds solace only in alcohol. Her mother (María Galiana), who has spent her life with a violent and intolerant man, doesn't even have the comfort of having her daughter nearby. When her husband is hospitalized, the mother visits María in her apartment and meets a widowed neighbor (Carlos Álvarez) who lives with his dog. The relationship that develops between these three shipwrecked souls eases their loneliness and opens a door to hope.
