Toby MacDonald

He started working on film shoots when he was 16. His short film Je T’aime John Wayne (2000) won numerous prizes, including that from the European Film Academy, and it was nominated for the BAFTAs and selected for the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes. His next short film Heavy Metal Drummer (2005) as also nominated for the BAFTAs and was shown at very many festivals. He has directed award winning commercials, and also the television series My Life In Film for BBC2. Old Boys, his first feature film, premiered at the Edinburgh Festival.
