LOS GOLFOS

Pere Portabella produced Carlos Saura's Los golfos (co-written with Mario Camus), thanks to his friendship with his brother Antonio, thus kicking off the career of a fundamental filmmaker. A work between neo-realism and free cinema that brought modernity to Spain. Shot in the suburbs of Madrid, Los golfos is the seed of the punky cinema and an allusion of the state of mind of a desperate youth who lives quickly through petty crimes, toxic masculinity and ephemeral pleasures.
