GENDER DERBY

Camille Ducellier | France | 2019 | 54 min.
O.V in French subtitled in English and Spanish

Roller derby is not just another sport. It is a team-based game created and played by women which is characterized by promoting body diversity and inclusiveness. Gender Derby is a web series shot in vertical format like the stories of Instagram, a reflection of the intimacy of the mobile, and that serves to portray Jasmin, queer person in gender transition and "jammer" of a roller derby team. In the process, we live the exciting path towards a non binary world that finally begins to be made visible both in successful series such as Euphoria and in committed works such as this one.
