It is 9 o'clock in the morning on a hot morning in Madrid. It is the time in which three friends (Antonio de la Torre, Raul Arevalo and Chema del Barco) meet to execute a plan. They have been unemployed since the closure of the company they were working for. Right from the beginning the things are not going as planned, the car they were going to use does not work: the first of countless setbacks that prevent them from leaving home, and that will provoke a series of uncomfortable discussions. The facemasks fall, and their friendship will no longer be the same. An adaptation of the successful play by Ignasi Vidal, which relies on the work of Sevillian professionals such as the director of photography Alejandro Espadero, who provides a contained and elegant image.

POLO MENARGUEZ
Graduated in Audiovisual Communication at the Carlos III University of Madrid, he completed his studies with a Master's degree from the Spanish Radio and Television Institute. His first work, Dos amigos, premiered in 2013 in the Resistances section of the Seville European Film Festival, and was part of Toulouse’s selection. From his extensive career as a short film maker, Si tuvieran ojos stands out, selected in dozens of festivals and awarded eleven prizes. After working as an editing assistant for Fernando León de Aranoa, he studied at the San Antonio de los Baños Film School, in Cuba. Invierno en Europa, his first feature-length documentary, received a special mention from the jury in 2017’s SEMINCI. He has directed the documentary series Dreams Without Borders, of which he is the author of four chapters. El plan, his latest film, premiered in Valladolid.
