EL COCHECITO

El Cochecito is perhaps the most caustic illustration of Franco's Spain. It is not surprising, then, that the censorship mutilated it. Few people know that up until the beginning of the 21st century the true ending of the film was not seen on national territory. The necessary impulse for the dream team Azcona-Ferreri was Pere Portabella, who describes the film with incomparable justice: "Marco was very funny. That corrosive script spoke of lack of solidarity even among the disabled, of selfishness and moral misery, and Pepe Isbert embroiders it. I think that's his best interpretation".
