THE BOY WHO CRIED WOLF

Marilou Berry | France | 2019 | 83 min.
O.V in French subtitled in English and Spanish

How to re-imagine the story of "Peter and the Wolf" without wolves or sheep, in the 21st century, with charismatic characters, sparkling action and caricature-like humor? The answer is here. The young Victor Bogomil has a whimsical mind that makes his whole block turn his back on him because of his stories of thieves, firemen and all sorts of alarming incidents that never turn out to be true. And of course, when the crooks arrive nobody really believes him, so he'll have to manage on his own in an adventure film that echoes classics like The Goonies or Home Alone.

MARILOU BERRY

Marilou Berry, born in 1983 in Paris, has a long and successful career as an actress behind her back. She began her journey at the age of eight with Josiane Balasko (her mother), a career that grew rapidly in 2004, the year in which she became a revelation actress thanks to her roles in La première fois que j'ai eu 20 ans and in Agnès Jaoui's film Like an Image, which earned her first nomination for the Caesars. In the years that followed, she consolidated herself in the field of comedy, in addition to working in theatrical productions. As a director, she debuted in 2016 with Joséphine s'arrondit, followed by Quand on crie au loup, she directed and starred in both films.
