Join us for a conversation with renowned French filmmaker Yolande Zauberman, hosted by Patricia Ortega, director of Mamacruz and representative of the Triángulo Association.

This masterclass with Yolande Zauberman on La Belle de Gaza offers an immersive exploration of identity, community, and the quest for truth. Zauberman will take us on a journey through the city of Tel Aviv, where she meets transgender women who have fled their homes and communities in search of refuge and acceptance. Through intimate conversations and personal testimonies, we will delve into the cultural and religious contradictions and tensions within Israel, and how these impact individuals at the intersection of sexual, cultural, and religious identities.

We will also have the opportunity to discuss the importance of representation and visibility on screen, and how Zauberman's film contributes to expanding the conversation about identity and inclusion in Israel. This session will be a space to reflect on the value of listening to and learning from the experiences of others, highlighting how cinema can serve as a powerful tool for promoting empathy and understanding.
