Regina Pessoa, one of the most emblematic figures in contemporary Portuguese animation, will give a talk focused on her work featured in the current exhibition at CICUS. This event, attended by students from the School of Fine Arts, will also be open to the general public, offering a unique opportunity to delve into her captivating artistic world.
During the talk, Regina will explore her journey from her first short film, A Noite (1999), to her more recent works, including the acclaimed Tio Tomas, a contabilidade dos dias (2019), for which she received the Special Jury Prize at the prestigious Annecy Festival. Additionally, the artist will demonstrate some of the artistic techniques she employs in her works, providing a practical insight into her creative process. She will also share the autobiographical themes that have shaped her career and the memories that have inspired her along the way.
