Join us for an Animation Masterclass with Manuel Sicilia, the creative director of Rokyn Animation in Granada. Sicilia has contributed to numerous animated feature films, including El Lince Perdido and Justin y la Espada del Valor, as well as the series Pobre Diablo, which premiered on HBOMax. His directed and produced projects have earned over 100 international awards, including two Goya Awards and an Oscar nomination, solidifying his status as a leading figure in Andalusian animation.

In this masterclass, Sicilia will discuss the creative process behind his three short films, Nuestra Navidad, which are inspired by the beloved Christmas carol created in 1994 and have become a staple of popular culture and the identity of RTVA. These 2D animated shorts premiered last Christmas on Canal Sur Televisión.

Sicilia will explore various aspects of animation, including character creation, visual narrative design, and contemporary animation methodologies. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about his latest projects and upcoming releases. The session will encourage interaction and the exchange of ideas, fostering a collaborative environment for all participants.
