Following its screenings at the Berlinale and Cinemadureel, the SEFF welcomes Inadelso Cossa.

A man returns to the Mozambican village of his grandparents, where he grew up during the height of the civil war. His grandmother protected him from the violence at that time. The film now sheds light on this dark history with sensitivity. This is the synopsis of Inadelso Cossa's new film, The Night Still Smells of Gunpowder, which will be presented at the Sevilla European Film Festival.

In a related talk at the Department of Sociology at Pablo de Olavide University, Inadelso will engage in a discussion with students alongside Professor Carmen Jiménez. They will explore topics such as the sociological theory of development linked to independence movements. Additionally, they will debate Memoria en Tres Actos, his previous feature film that recovers the collective memory of Mozambique, addressing its colonial history and a wound that still lingers.
