Biography Eric Ellenbogen

Between 2019 and 2024, he served as CEO and Vice President of WildBrain (TSX: WILD), one of the world's largest animation studios, a global licensing company (CPLG), and a family entertainment library with over 13,000 half-hour episodes, including the rights to Charles Schulz's ‘Peanuts’.

After beginning his career in Los Angeles in public relations and entertainment marketing, he moved to New York in 1987 to become president of Broadway Video Entertainment. He later joined the board of directors of Marvel Enterprises, now owned by Disney, and was soon after appointed president and CEO, where he created the Spider-Man film franchise in collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment.

In 2000, he co-founded Classic Media. Following its acquisition by DreamWorks Animation in 2012, Eric became a member of the executive team, co-head of DreamWorks Classics and DreamWorks International Television. Following the sale of DreamWorks Animation to NBCUniversal in 2016, Eric returned to become co-president of Classic Media, which was relaunched as a business unit of NBCUniversal.

Eric holds a bachelor's degree from Harvard University and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He currently resides in New York, Jackson Hole, and Madrid, Spain.
