WOMEN WHO BARE THEIR SOULS ON THE BIG SCREEN

Today one of the two pictures of the day at the Seville European Film Festival features the actress, screenwriter and director Carmen Tamayo, together with a group of socially excluded women who are the protagonists of her documentary Mujereando. El quejío de una diosa, which can be seen for the first time today in the Andalusian Panorama section. A work that shows how women hold on to the theater as a lifesaving tool and where, according to Tamayo, stands out "the honesty of their stories, which have great testimonial value, as well as the fact that they totally forgot about having cameras around to bare their souls and tell of very hard events in their lives. Rosa Quiles, one of these women, has stated that making this film made her look "strong, combative and empowered; now I feel like Marilyn Monroe on the big screen". On her part, Africa de los Reyes has valued this experience as "new and incredible, I am very nervous about the premiere of the film, even seeing the trailer every day continues to move me".

Together with Carmen Tamayo and the director Rocio Huertas (La Alameda 2018), the filmmakers will also participate in a meeting under the title Herstory, their story, which will take place on Wednesday 11th at the Espacio Santa Clara
