The experienced and empathetic gaze of the Sevillian documentary filmmaker Mariano Agudo joins forces again with Daniel Lagares after La búsqueda to return to Peruvian territory and the open wounds of its past and present. In the midst of the impressive biodiversity of the Peruvian Amazon, the indigenous communities of Madre de Dios are threatened daily by the illegal extraction of gold and timber, nowadays one of the main economic activities in the region. A fight to death to preserve their identity and the memory of the Wändari, their territory.
