Synopsis:
Raša Abdulahović arrived in Sweden when she was one year old, being a young immigrant propelled by the former Yugoslavia disintegration. Now she lives with her father, an already ailing worker. She almost maintains him with the wage she receives at a food industry factory she works for since she was 16 years old. The rumours of redundancies at her factory begin to take shape, and Raša, though she knows she’s valuable, is conscious that her surname marks her as an immigrant and Muslim. The heroine in Eat Sleep Die a woman of action, determined to keep what she has, just like that Dardenne brothers’ Rosetta. She doesn’t have to reveal her sense of community as it’s printed in her DNA.
