THE NEW WAVES NON FICTION

SOUTHERN BELLE

NICOLAS PEDUZZI

Nicolas Peduzzi | France | 2017 | 84 min. | O.V. English with Spanish subtitles

Taelor is a beauty from Houston, Texas, who at 15, while in a rehabilitation clinic, inherits 500 million dollars after the (violent) death of her father. With a French spirit and an American indie rhythm, Peduzzi films the 26 year old Taelor, with her friends who are fond of sniffables and guns, her family traumas and her inappropriate relatives whose gatherings always end in drunken mayhem. Days with no reference other than whether it’s day or night, and which lead to a memorable ending.
