CINEPHILES OF THE FUTURE | SPECIAL SCREENING

ORCHESTRA CLASS

RACHID HAMI

Rachid Hami | France | 2016 | 96 min. O.V. French with English and Spanish subtitles

Simón (Kad Merad, The Choir, Welcome to the North) is a famous violinist who, at 50, has hit a low point in both his personal and professional lives and he ends up giving classes to a sixth grade orchestra in a Parisian school. He has great doubts about doing this, unaware that he is facing the challenge of his life. A film that captures with emotion the challenges in education today and the difficulties in transmitting artistic passion, in a world in which art has proved to be fundamental in forming complete human beings.
