The theatre at the service of the anti-Franco struggle: this story tells how in the ‘60s the independent company Teatro Estudio Lebrijano managed to transform the suffering of the day labourers into art, traveling to towns as in the times of Lorca’s La Barraca, and earned international recognition despite censorship. Nonio Parejo, a fundamental name in Andalusian documentary (director of works such as La Alameda, CA-79 or Campos de Níjar) recovers very important photos and audiovisual documents in a poetic and necessary look at the past.
