HISTERIA DE ESPAÑA

OUT OF COMPETITION

VARIOS AUTORES. COORDINADO POR KIKOL GRAU

Kikol Grau et al. | Spain | 2017 | 77 min. | O.V. Spanish and Catalan with English subtitles

If there is a genre that we dominate in this country, that is the “esperpento”. In this “hysteria” of Spain, Kikol Grau calls on a splendid team of audiovisual guerrillas to hold up a frantic, incisive deforming mirror: from Manuel Bartual to Andrés Duque, and including Rubén Minchinela, Borja Crespo, David Domingo, María Cañas or Alberto Gracia, among others. An in-depth study of recent history and a Spain-style Black Mirror, an exquisite cadaver that concentrates the blood, sweat and dandruff of the ox hide, and through which everyone parades, from El Fary to Rita Barberá, there is talk of current issues such as independentism, and there is football, omelette and safaris, among a thousand other things.

Direction: María Cañas, Carolina Cabrerizo, Kikol Grau, Manuel Bartual,  Alex Reynolds, Martín Gutiérrez, Raúl Minchinela, Andrés Duque, Borja Crespo, Nerea Mugüerza, David Domingo, Arturo Bastón, Albert Alcoz, Viktor Parkas, Alberto Gracia, Maider Fernández, Jorge Rodríguez, Sara Tomás, Amanda Sonder, Benet Román, Aitor Guinea, Dani Moreno, Manolo Vázquez
