Erika Kohut is a piano teacher in a prestigious Viennese conservatory. However, hidden behind a brilliant professional life and an unshakeable severity, are the shadows of an unhealthy personal life. Kohut still lives with her mother, with whom she has a twisted relationship that varies between love and hate, and she lives her repressed sexuality by frequenting porn cinemas and sex shops. When one of her pupils, young Walter Klemmer sets out to conquer her after hearing her in a private concert, the pianist’s retaining wall shatters, with disturbing consequences.
