Eugène Green | France, Italy | 2014 | 107 min. | V.O French and Italian subtitled in Spanish and English

Alexandre, a successful architect, has lost direction and inspiration in his profession, surrounded as he is by a world in which the sublime has been replaced by money and mediocrity. He decides to take refuge in the purest of baroque forms, and sets out on a journey to Italy in order to pick up his studies on Borromini. His wife Aliénor, with whom he has a cordial but distant relationship, decides to accompany him. In the town of Stresa, they meet by chance with two adolescents, brother and sister: Lavinia, whose health is fragile, and Goffredo, about to begin his architectural studies. Goffredo becomes Alexandre’s improvised disciple and traveling companion, while Aliénor keeps a watchful eye on Lavinia. The meeting and journey will illuminate their lives, in more than one way.
