JET LAG

JET LAG

Eloy Domínguez Serén

Eloy Domínguez Serén | Spain | 2014 | 52 min. | V.O. Spanish and Galician subtitled in Spanish and English

The night shift at a service station. That is what Jet Lag intends to document but it ends up being proof that slippery reality does not adhere to any premise. The expectation of capturing the calm and solitude of the night in the middle of the road is gradually dismantled by the randomness, visits and vicissitudes of what happens. Domínguez Serén’s curious look adapts to what turns up, extracting unexpected nuances from each twist that occurs during filming. Jet Lag ends up being not so much a film about a night shift at a service station but a film about what it is to make a film.
