The Rendez-Vous of Déjà-Vu

Antonin Peretjatko | France | 2013 | 88 min. | O.V. French subtitled in Spanish and English

An absurd comedy that dresses in the colours of the French flag and plays unashamedly with its signs of identity, The Rendez-Vous of Déjà-Vu tells the crazy adventures of Héctor, a security guard at the Louvre who falls hopelessly in love with Truquette, a vivacious girl who is selling miniature guillotines on that 14th July, the anniversary of the storming of the Bastille. Héctor and his friend Pator take Truquette and her friend Charlotte on holiday, but when Bertier shoehorns his way into the plan –with his seduction manual under his arm- everything ends up in a crazy summer search and pursuit along back roads, rivers, beaches and holiday villas.
