Soldate Jeannette

Soldate Jeannette

“A European film conspiracy”: that is how Soldate Jeannette defines itself, not just as a film but as a method of production, as a school of thought, as a way of life. A guerrilla group of which that solder Jeannette would be a part, like the slap in the face of capitalism (and consequently of the dominant cult to money) that it is. Fanni, a wealthy woman whose life is falling apart, seems about to explode from pure boredom. A discontent and emptiness that is expressed in activities such as buying a very expensive designer dress and then throwing it in the rubbish bin, or stealing from department stores. One day Fanni decides to free herself of money and she goes to live on a pig farm. There she meets Anna who, in a parallel but very different way, also wants to get her freedom.
