Valeria Golino

Valeria Golino | Italy, France | 2013 | 100 min. | O.V. Italian subtitled in Spanish

The actress Valeria Golino makes her debut in directing with this film which won an award at Cannes. “Miele” (honey in Italian) is the code name of our young protagonist in her parallel life, which she hides from her father and her lover. A fitting name for someone who secretly dedicates her time to administering a sweet poison, in the form of a cocktail of barbiturates, to the terminally ill who want to die with dignity. When she meets with Mr. Grimaldi, whose illness is that life is meaningless for him, she does everything
possible to prevent a death for which she doesn’t want to be responsible
