The story of Snow White in a free, silent adaptation, filmed in black and white, and set in Seville in the 20s. The birth of Carmencita is marked by tragedy: her mother, the singer Carmen de Triana, dies during the birth, overcome by the shock of seeing the goring which leaves her husband, the bullfighter Antonio Villalta, confined to a wheelchair. Villalta remarries, to a treacherous nurse with aspirations for wealth, who relegates Carmencita first to her grandmother’s house and then to work as a servant in her country house, while her father look on, helpless. But bullfighting is in her blood, as she will discover after she runs away and is rescued, now suffering from amnesia, by a troupe of dwarf bullfighters who rechristen her Snow White.
