Age of Panic

Justine Triet

Justine Triet | France | 2013 | 94 min. | O.V. French subtitled in Spanish and English

6th May, 2012. Laetitia’ stressful day begins amidst the crying of her two young daughters as she waits for the babysitter so that she can go to her job as a TV reporter and cover the atmosphere in the Parisian Rue Solferino, where Hollande’s supporters are waiting anxiously for the election results. The agitation of an exhausting day is reflected not only in the battle at the urns but in the struggle in Laetitia’s personal life when her unstable (and apparently aggressive) ex appears demanding to see his daughters. A day of comings and goings, sentimental juggling and old resentments intertwined with new affections.
