Synopsis:

Marco Macaco dreams of solving a great police case in the near future, but in the meanwhile, the only thing he does is serving as officer in charge of a beach in a tropical island. Most of his efforts to stand out are determined by Lulú, a friend he likes since their childhood. But an important setback bursts in the insular paradise, breaking Marco's illusions. It is Carlo, and he’s arrived on the island in an attempt to build a casino, and, immediately after, he will try to conquer Lulú’s heart. Marco is not content with the new situation and soon after he’ll find some clues about Carlo's true intentions in the area.

Jan Rahbek

Born in 1980, Jan Rahbek knew from an early age exactly what he wanted to do with his general interest in cinema. So, in 2008 he graduated at the National Film School of Denmark, specialising in animation direction. His first steps were very promising: his graduation film, The Space Monkeys, obtained two important national awards, the Best Nordic-Baltic Film in the students category, and the Odense Talent Award. Just four years later, Rahbek has been able to shoot his first professional film, Marco Macaco.
