Over 200 titles from the best of European cinema

Thursday 29 de October 2015

From 6th to 14th November, the city of Seville will become the capital of European cinema thanks to the collaboration of all the sponsors who make the festival possible.

The Seville Festival is still the reference for auteurist cinema among the national festivals. Over 200 titles from the best of European cinema, with a notable presence of the most independent, heterodox Spanish cinema, acclaimed at festivals around the world, make this an unmissable event. For the first time in its history it will have over 450 screenings, which puts the SEFF on a level with the major European festivals.

Over 100 national premieres.

Over a dozen world premieres and one European premiere (that of C'est l'amour).
For the first time in the new phase of the festival which began in 2012l, 3 first films will be competing in the Official Section (including the opening film), and there is a total of 23 first films in the competitive sections of the festival.
43 film industries represented.
57 Spanish productions, with Spain the country with most productions in the festival.
25 Andalusian productions or films by directors born in Andalusia plus 8 by the director Juan Sebastián Bollaín.

A programme with which, as in recent editions, the festival is ahead of trends on the contemporary film scene and positions itself in the vanguard, promoting and recognising the work by filmmakers who are transforming the seventh art. Also, the SEFF is once again the setting for the announcement of the nominations for the European Film Awards, which distinguish the continent’s best productions.

The Seville European Film Festival would not be possible without its sponsors and collaborators, we wish to thank them for their commitment and involvement.
