SORRY ANGEL

Christoph Honoré | France | 2018 | 132 min.
V.O. in French subtitled in Spanish and English

Christoph Honoré (Ma mère, Les Chansons d’Amour) directs Pierre Deladonchamps (L’inconnu du lac) and Vincent Lacoste (Victora) who meet in this story of “first love and last love”, the first for Arthur, a student from the provinces, and the last for Jacques, a writer with HIV. As in every romance, they fall in love with the idea they have of each other. One dives right in, the other tries not to get carried away. It’s summer, and it’s Paris in 1993. The music playing is Massive Attack, Cocteau Twins, Haendel and Brahms. Everything vibrates.
